This collection was created in 2019 to document ontemporary ideas about atheism in America, including how atheists represent themselves, how they are described elsewhere, and common issues that merit their attention. The project aims to preserve documentation of a religious
movement that by its very nature lacks established institutions of worship to collect and archive their goals and voices. The goal is to more diversely represent the American public, and to preserve records of atheism for future historical researchers. Selection will include popular blogs, materials from prominent atheist organizations, and individual informational or opinion articles on the topic.
